MEDWAY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A New England's Unsolved exclusive: The sister of a Medway murder victim speaks out for the first time about the brother she lost, and the man who allegedly killed him.
But for months, that suspect has been able to elude police.
This was a vicious murder. It happened in Providence, R.I. back in September.
The victim's name is Robert Bullard.
He is from Massachusetts, and lived in Medway. His alleged killer is on the run.
"He was somebody. He wasn't just a crime victim. He was somebody. We loved him so much, we will love him the rest of our lives," said his sister, Amy Bullard.
On Sept. 7, Robert Bullard was stabbed to death in a vicious attack in a Providence, R.I. apartment.
"My brother was a big strong guy. If they fought hand to hand, my brother would still be here," Amy said.
Amy told FOX 25's Bob Ward that her brother was stabbed in a third floor apartment on Allston Street in Providence after getting into an argument with a woman.
Police told Amy that 27-year-old Malcolm Querido attacked her brother and took off. The woman called 911.
Malcolm Querido, police say, has a lengthy criminal record. He is from North Providence, and he has disappeared.
"It's disgusting. His family, maybe they don't see him but at least they still have him," Amy said. "We don't have Bobby any more. We didn't have Thanksgiving this year. We probably won't have Christmas. I wonder if those people will."
Back in September, Amy thought an arrest would come quick. But three months later, Querido remains a fugitive and Bullard can't rest.
"Catching him is not going to bring Bobby back. Nothing will. But I just cant stand for him to be out there walking living, not caring about human lives," she said.
When asked what it would mean to finally see her brother's killer in court, she said, "It would finally mean, maybe he'll pay for what he did.
"If nothing else," she continued, "it'll keep other people safe from him."
Now, Amy and her family are only left with a handful of pictures, and a lifetime of memories..
"I miss him every day. And I will for the rest of my life," she said.
Malcolm Querido lived in North Providence, R.I., but he could be anywhere, including Massachusetts.
If you've seen him, call Providence, R.I. police.
