(MyFoxBoston.com) -- PetSmart announced two recalls Tuesday, including Top Fin Betta Bowl Kits and another type of fish bowl.
The betta bowl kits are being recalled due to a laceration hazard, according to a release. The Top Fin Betta Bowl Kit with LED Light has a glass bowl that can crack or shatter and the company is offering a refund.
The store is also recalling a simple fishbowl. The fishbowl is clear, holds 1.75 gallons and is shaped like a brandy snifter. PetSmart has received reports of the bowls breaking during normal use, according to a release. Injuries were reported including cuts to finger and hands; seven of those cuts required stitches and three others required surgery for lacerated tendons, a release said.
These fish bowls were sold only at PetSmart stores nationwide from March 2010 through September 2013. They cost about $20.
