New England Patriots Safety Devin McCourty is retiring after 13 seasons with the team exclusively, he announced Friday with some help from his twin brother.

McCourty walks away from the league as 3-time Super Bowl champion, 3-time All-Pro and was even named to the Pro Bowl at two different positions. He recorded 907 tackles and 35 interceptions over the years.

The Patriots responded with a social media tribute, calling McCourty the "ultimate leader."
