According to Google Maps, Building 18 is off of Eastman Court and houses the Department of Chemistry.
MIT Emergency Information said that the leak was from a bad valve on a carbon monoxide cylinder. MIT also reported traffic problems across Kendall Square because of emergency response due to the CO leak as well as an unrelated crash at the corner of Main and Ames Street.
Symptoms of CO poisoning include headache and sleepiness. CO is colorless and odorless gas that can kill people.
