Milton selectmen arrested on drunk driving charges in Hanson

HANSON, Mass. — A Milton selectmen is facing drunk driving charges following an arrest in Hanson last week, Hanson Police Chief Michael Miksch told Boston 25 News.

Police arrested Anthony J. Farrington, 43, on Liberty Street (Route 58) around 10:45 p.m. on November 7.

Farrington was arraigned in Plymouth District Court on November 8 on charges of operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Farrington was elected to Milton's Board of Selectmen in 2018.

When reached by phone Wednesday, Milton Town Administrator Michael Dennehy declined comment.

Farrington is an attorney with Hingham-based Sherman Law, according to the company's website. He was previously employed as an attorney for the Norfolk Sheriff's Office from 2014 to 2017.
