Memorial Day parade & ceremony cancellations

BOSTON — Due to the predicted rain, many towns are canceling their parades or ceremonies in honor of Memorial Day:

AUBURN

The parade and program have been canceled.

BARNSTABLE

The 10 a.m. parade and 12:15 p.m. John F. Kennedy Memorial events have been canceled.

BOXBOROUGH

The parade is canceled and a modified observance is at the Town Hall at the Grange Room at 9 a.m.

CAMBRIDGE

The parade and observance have been canceled.

CHATHAM

Chatham's Memorial Day ceremony will be held indoors at the Community Center at 10 a.m.

DUXBURY

The parade has been cancelled.

IPSWICH

The Memorial Day Services will be held inside at the YMCA gym at 10 a.m.

HAMPTON

The parade is canceled, but ceremonies will take place at 8 a.m. at the HB Marine Memorial and at 11:30 a.m. at Hampton Academy.

HULL

The parade is canceled and the Memorial Ceremony will take place in Hull High School Auditorium at 10 a.m.

MARSHFIELD

The parade, Memorial Day observances, and ceremony have all been canceled.

MEDFIELD

The Medfield Memorial Day parade is canceled. There will be a ceremony at 10 a.m. at the American Legion.

METHUEN

The Memorial Day parade has been canceled. Services will be held at the American Legion, located at 200 Broadway. The service will begin at 10 a.m.

NORTH READING

The parade has been canceled, but the ceremonies will be conducted at the Batchelder School at 11 a.m.

NORWELL

The Memorial Day parade has been canceled. The Memorial Day ceremony will be at Norwell Fire, located at 677 Main Street. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m., attendees are asked to arrive by 10:45 a.m.

NORWOOD

Parade canceled, the Memorial Day Services scheduled at 11:00 A.M. at the Cemetery will instead take place in Memorial Hall.

PEMBROKE

The parade is canceled. There will be a ceremony in the First Church at 10:30 a.m.

RANDOLPH

The Memorial Day Events have been moved to Stetson Hall.

TAUNTON

The Taunton Memorial Day parade has been canceled.

TYNGSBOROUGH

The parade is canceled, but the ceremony at the American Legion at noon will still happen.

WELLFLEET

Welfleet's Memorial Day service has been moved from the Town Hall Lawn to the Congo Church on Main Street. The service starts at 9 a.m.

WRENTHAM

The parade is canceled, but there will be a brief ceremony at the Center Cemetery at 11 a.m.
