BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The MBTA will run limited service on President's Day after suspending service on Sunday because of another snow storm.
Rail and bus service will both be limited on Monday. The commuter rail will operate on a Saturday schedule, according to the transit agency, while buses will operate on a modified Saturday schedule. The Silver Line will operate on a normal weekday schedule.
The MBTA will operate services on the Blue, Green, Orange and Red Lines at underground stations, although the Blue Line will operate to Airport Station.
MBTA garages will continue to allow parking, but say availability is limited. Lynn, Beverly, Salem and Wonderland garages will continue to have low availability. Illegally parked vehicles in garages that are found to be blocking pedestrian access ways and/or traffic lanes will be subject to towing.
MBTA passengers may also park in available Massport parking at Suffolk Downs and board Massport employee shuttles either to Airport terminals or to the Blue Line Airport station.
Subway:
- Limited Red Line train service will operate between Alewife and Andrew Stations on Monday, February 16, 2015. There will be no Red Line train service between JFK/UMass and Braintree or JFK/UMass and Ashmont. Limited substitute bus service will be provided along the Ashmont and Braintree branches, linking customers with the Red Line at Andrew Station.
- Limited Orange Line train service will operate between North Station and Back Bay. There will be no train service between Oak Grove and Community College. There will be no service between Massachusetts Ave and Forest Hills. Limited substitute bus service will be provided, linking customers with the Orange Line at North Station and Back Bay Stations.
- Green Line trolleys will operate between Kenmore and Lechmere Stations only on Monday, February 16, 2015. There will be no service west of Kenmore Station or Symphony Station.
- Along the B branch on Commonwealth Avenue, Route 57 buses will make stops between Packards Corner and Kenmore.
- Along the C branch on Beacon Street, there will be limited bus shuttle service.
- Along the D-Riverside branch, there will limited bus shuttle service.
- Along the E branch on Huntington Avenue, Route 39 buses will make stops between Northeastern and Heath St. Stations.
- Limited Blue Line train service will operate between Bowdoin and Airport Stations. There will be no service between Wood Island and Wonderland Stations. Limited bus service will be provided, linking customers to the Blue Line at Airport Station. MBTA passengers may also park in available Massport parking at Suffolk Downs and board Massport employee shuttles either to Airport terminals or to the Blue Line Airport station.
- Service on the Mattapan Trolley line will remain suspended on Monday, February 16, 2015. Limited shuttle bus service will be provided.
Commuter Rail
- All Commuter Rail lines will operate on a Saturday schedule on Monday, February 16,2015. Commuter Rail service is expected to have delays due to switch and signal issues and mechanical issues with locomotives. Cancelled train trips are also likely.
Buses will run a modified Saturday schedule on Monday, February 16, 2015 which means the following routes will not operate:
