Mass. has weak seat belt laws, report says

(MyFoxBoston.com) -- A new report released Monday says that the state of Massachusetts has weak seat belt laws.

The Governor's Highway Safety Association says the state is among more than 30 in the nation lacking strong rear-passenger seat belt laws.

Across the country in 2013, nearly 900 people above the age of 8 were killed when they were riding in back seats, unrestrained. Experts say states considering stricter laws could decrease that number.
