Marine convicted of killing Emerson College student Daniel Hollis

BOSTON — A United States Marine has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the 2019 death of 19-year-old Emerson College student Daniel Hollis.

Lance Corporal Samuel London was convicted last week.

Hollis’ family posted on social media “justice” for their loved one.”

Boston 25 News learned of the conviction Monday morning from the USMC spokesperson who told us, “The General Court Martial of US v. London concluded. The Trial started 7 June 2021 and concluded 18 June 2021 with LCpl London being convicted of involuntary manslaughter and receiving 65 months of confinement, total fines and forfeitures, reduction to E1, and a dishonorable discharge.”

Hollis spent nearly a week in the hospital with a severe head injury before being removed from life support after a fight at a party in Allston in 2019.

London was sentenced to 65 months in jail and was dishonorably discharged. He had been held for 18 months prior to the conviction.
