BOSTON — A man was shot and killed while sitting in a car outside an apartment building in South Boston overnight, according to police.
The shooting was reported on Costello Circle near Broadway.
The victim, who has only been identified as a man in his 20s, died shortly after being taken to a hospital.
Police said they’re looking for another man seen running from the scene toward D Street, but a description was not immediately available.

One car with a bullet hole in the windshield was towed from the scene overnight, but Boston 25 News spoke with a woman who awoke to find bullet holes in her vehicle, as well.
Last week Boston police responded to two fatal shootings in as many days.
When Boston 25 News spoke with Mayor Marty Walsh, he said he's working with city leaders, including Boston police Commissioner William Evans, to try and curb the violence before summer.
That's when crime typically tends to rise.
Boston 25 News has reached out to the Boston Police Department for more information and will brings you updates on-air and online as soon as they're available.
