SEABROOK, N.H. — A woman previously accused of stalking a couple in Seabrook, New Hampshire has been charged with second-degree murder after drunkenly running the couple down in her car Wednesday night, the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office says.
Seabrook Selectman Aboul Khan told Boston 25 News the victim and his wife are his neighbors, and they were walking their dog on Pine Street when both were hit by a car around 6:30.
Catrina Costello, 38, was intoxicated and driving that car, the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office announced Thursday morning.
Police say Stephen VanDalinda, 64, was killed in the incident and Erin VanDalinda, 61, was hospitalized with 'numerous injuries.'
Neighbors said the couple was just around the corner from their house, out for a walk with their dog, when a car hit both of them. This was a daily routine for the couple, who have lived on the same street for more than 20 years.
Costello had been under a stalking order of protection since last September and was prohibited from coming within 50-feet of the couple, their animals or their home.
Costello has been charged with second-degree murder, second-degree assault, aggravated driving while intoxicated with serious bodily injury, felony counts of conduct after an accident and violation of a stalking order of protection. She is being held without bail.
