An investigation is underway after a man died when he was hit by a car in Brockton early Wednesday morning.
Few details have been released, but officials said the man was hit on North Main Street just after midnight and suffered severe head trauma.
The victim, who has only been identified as a man in his late-30’s to early-40’s, was found in the middle of the road and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
The road was temporarily closed while police investigated the incident and spoke with the driver, who remained at the scene.
It was raining heavily at the time, but it’s unknown if weather was a factor in the crash.
No other information was released.
