Two 20-year-old men from Lowell were arrested overnight after a police pursuit ended in their vehicle crashing on I-495 South, according to an official from Lowell Police.
Bryan Santana-Moyet and Ian Nieves, both of Lowell, were traveling in a vehicle that police say matched the description of one seen fleeing an accident in Lowell. An officer attempted to stop the pair from escaping via the Lowell Connector, but was unable to do so as Santana-Moyet and Nieves drove onto 495 South just after 2 a.m.
Police pursued the vehicle until the driver, Santana-Moyet, crashed while trying to take Exit 31 to Groton/Acton.
