WEBSTER, Mass. — An 89-year-old woman was seriously injured Wednesday morning after she was hit by a car while crossing Lake Street.
The accident happened around 7:00 a.m. The victim was transported by Webster EMS to UMass Memorial Hospital and remains in critical condition.
The driver of the car stopped on scene and is cooperating with authorities.
It is unclear if the woman was in a cross walk at the time of the accident.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
