BOSTON — The area near the Boston Common was filled with water Saturday morning after a main broke at the corner of Boylston and Charles Street.
Water crews were able to locate the shut-off and stop the deluge shortly before 8 a.m. Water can be seen gushing onto the sidewalks.
Much of the Common and Public Gardens were coated in a thin coat of water and debris from the initial break littered the sidewalk.
It is unclear what led to the break at this point.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
