WATCH: Tornado touches down in New Hampshire

CHARLESTOWN, N.H. — A dashcam video captured the moment a tornado touched down in a New Hampshire town on Monday.

Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz verified that a tornado formed on Rt. 11 between Charlestown and Claremont around 6:22 p.m.

The video, shot by Wes Carter, shows the tornado landing in Charlestown.

The funnel cloud could be seen touching the ground and causing the trees to bend along its rotation.

At one point, a passing truck drives directly into the vortex.
