The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority shared video with Boston 25 News on Monday that shows an escalator malfunction that injured dozens of people at the Back Bay MBTA Station in Boston.
The incident happened on Sept. 26 and many of the people shown on the MBTA’s video were wearing New England Patriots jerseys.
This video shows the escalator reversing direction and speeding up at accelerating rates.
The people on the escalator are seen tumbling backward and piling up at the bottom of the escalator. More than a dozen of those people were injured.

The escalator involved in the incident at Back Bay Station remains closed as of Monday, according to MBTA officials.
