TEWSKBURY — Bowlers in Tewksbury had to clear the lanes in a hurry Saturday night after several people received photos from someone alleging they had a bomb and would shoot up the bowling alley.
According to Tewksbury police, an employee at Wamesit Lanes contacted police at 8:16 p.m. The employee told police that several customers had received AirDropped photos from an unknown individual alleging they had a bomb and would commit a shooting.
Police evacuated the bowling alley out of an abundance of caution.
Tewksbury Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident or who has received the photo to call the department at 978-851-7373.
