The teen suspected of shooting a Wendy’s employee in Lynn earlier this year was arrested after leading police on a highway chase Wednesday morning.
Marlborough police say the 17-year-old suspect was wanted for multiple felonies and violent crimes from multiple towns, including the shooting of the 16-year-old Wendy’s worker in January.
When police attempted to arrest him, the teen got in a car and fled onto Route 290.
The suspect eventually crashed his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Police were able to arrest him a short time later.
There were no serious injuries in Wednesday’s crash, according to police.
The arrested suspect is facing charges of armed assault with intent to murder, and intimidation of a witness regarding the Wendy’s incident.
About a dozen officers responded to the shooting in Lynn on February 7, closing down the restaurant for hours. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.
BREAKING: big police presence at this Wendy’s in Lynn, where officers have taped off the drive-thru window. We can see shattered glass in that window. Waiting for an update from police @boston25 pic.twitter.com/mnn2G57IvT
