IPSWICH, Mass. — A 19-year-old man suffered serious, life-threatening injuries on Saturday afternoon after being run over by a boat he had been operating in Ipswich, local police announced in a release.
The incident happened just before 3 p.m. on Saturday near the third creek mooring field in Ipswich waters.
Once on scene, police determined that four people aboard a 19-foot, center console boat, fell into the water when the boat was turning. With no one on board to direct the vessel, it began circling and ran over the 19-year-old. No one else was hurt.
