BOSTON, Mass. — The TD Garden will be a bit hotter than usual Wednesday night as the Celtics announced Nelly will be performing the halftime show for Game 3.
The Celtics and Golden State Warriors are currently tied 1-1 in the NBA Finals, in a contentious series that features plenty of “mean mugs” and “shoulder shrugs.” This will be Boston’s first home court appearance in the series.
Nelly is a multi-time Grammy winner with six #1 Billboard singles including “Hot in Here,” “Grillz,” and “Dilemma.”
The hip hop star is also a fan of Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum, given that both men grew up in St. Louis. The artist posted his support for Tatum after the team’s Game 1 victory in San Francisco.
Game 3 is set to tip off tonight at 9:00 p.m.
