The stars are aligning for a busy yet memorable Memorial Day Weekend across the Bay State

BOSTON — The gorgeous weather and a potential bid at NBA history is lining up for this Memorial Day weekend. The Friday before the long weekend was sunny and warm and the Celtics have two games this weekend that could put them in the history books – if they win both.

The forecast for the long holiday weekend is getting a huge thumbs up. “Oh my God it is so nice,” one woman said. Everyone we talked to in different areas of Boston had different plans. “I’m going to NH, Lake Winnipesaukee,” a woman told us. The Darrish family is catching a flight to Nantucket thanks to the new forecast. “We are very happy the forecast changed,” the mother said. “This year it is going to be really nice and I also have some friends who are going to be there that I’m going to get to see,” her daughter said.

At Boston Calling they could not be happier with the weather this year. Last year, severe weather caused an evacuation and a delay in Saturday’s show. “We had to find a spot around town to wait in because if you weren’t in the festival already, you had to wait for the storm to clear out,” a woman said about last year. This year she said the weather is beautiful.

The Celtics could also make history this weekend if they win two more games they will meet Denver in the NBA finals. “There is a new vibe with them so they are just coming back,” a fan said.

A lot is going on this weekend and a lot of people are on the go. Triple A says this will be the third busiest Memorial Day weekend in the past 23 years.
