HANSON, Mass. — A car took down a telephone pole in Hanson Friday afternoon, causing a power outage in the surrounding area.
The Hanson Fire Department says they responded to Route 58 near the Botieri Fields around 5 p.m. for a single-car rollover crash that took down a pole and some wires.
The two occupants in the car were medically evaluated, authorities say, and Route 58 was closed while National Grid made repairs.
As of 6:45 p.m., only 7 customers in the area were without power, according to MEMA.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It is unclear if any charges will be filed.
