Boston police responded to a report of shots fired in an East Boston neighborhood on Halloween night.
Several evidence markers for shell casings surrounded a couple parked cars on Sumner Street.
Meanwhile families were still walking by with their children trick -or-treating for Halloween.
A second area nearby was also blocked off by caution tape, where officers were searching for more evidence.
It was startling for neighbors to see this scene especially on a busy night when people are out having fun.
“It’s rather scary, I mean I have no idea this was going on, I was just home had a couple friends over, about to leave, celebrate and this is not good, it’s scary and now my car is trapped in the crime scene,” said Carlos Grajales.
Boston Police say this is still an active investigation.
