BOSTON — At least four people were injured and taken to the hospital after a school bus rolled over in Boston on Thursday afternoon.
Boston police responded to the bus crash in the area of 1000 Harvard Street shortly after 1:00 p.m.
Boston EMS confirmed that the four people who were transported from the scene are adults. There was no word on the extent of their injuries.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
Video from the scene showed investigators photographing the bus. The rear door and roof hatch on the bus could be seen propped open.

Neighbors like Mike Sweeney-Morrison were some of the first to rush over to the bus.
“I heard a loud bang,” he said. “It was almost like a slamming sound.”
Another neighbor added, “Ambulances were here, fire trucks were here the people were on the ground.”
Neighbors shared video captured on their phones with Boston 25 that showed the dramatic moments after the crash.
Sweeney-Morrison added, “They were all pretty shaken up... One of them had to be taken out on a stretcher, and the rest were able to kind of get off on their own with assistance, and then were all taken to the hospital.”
He continued, “They were very thankful that they were still alive after that. But, I think they were more shook up, anxious, and scared.”
Neighbors tell Boston 25 the hill on Harvard Street creates a blind spot for drivers.
Boston 25 asked Boston Public Schools who was on the bus, where they were going, and why Thursday afternoon.
In a response, they said:
“This afternoon, a Boston Public Schools bus was involved in a transportation incident at Harvard Street. No students were on board at the time; however, four adults were transported to an area hospital with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries. We appreciate the quick response from Boston Police, Fire, and EMS at the scene. The incident is being investigated by the Boston Police Department. Additional updates will be provided by BPD.”
An investigation is ongoing.
