FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots are reportedly expected to re-sign standout cornerback Jonathan Jones.
Jones is staying in Foxboro on a new two-year contract, according to Ian Rapoport.
Jones was one of the top free agents on the Patriots roster heading into the new league year.

The 29-year-old defensive leader has tallied 11 interceptions and 330 total tackles in seven NFL seasons with the Patriots.
Rapoport also reported that the Patriots traded tight end Jonnu Smith to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick.
The Smith move was said to be made in the interest of freeing up cap space.
