SEABROOK, N.H. — Investigators announced the arrest of a man who’s in connection to a deadly shooting that took place in Seabrook, New Hampshire Monday morning that left one man dead and another second person in critical condition.

A third man involved, who was not wounded, and ran from the scene, has been identified. The man, Garrito Ford, 37, of Seabrook, who initially fled the scene, was later located and arrested in connection with the ongoing suspicious death investigation in Seabrook.

Attorney General John Formella told Boston 25 News Tuesday morning the investigation began Monday when Seabrook Police received calls at approximately 9:03 a.m., directing officers to 19 Boynton Lane for reports of shots fired. When officers arrived on the scene, they found an adult man dead in the driveway, outside the residence, and found another adult man suffering from a gunshot wound.

An autopsy is planned for Tuesday for the man who was killed.

“We’ve certainly identified everybody who was involved and that includes the individual doing the shooting. With regards to the other dynamics of what played out, and in what particular order, that’s something we are still working on. We don’t believe there is any sort of danger to the public,” said Agati.

The shooting led to a shelter-in-place Monday morning for those at the Southgate Plaza in Seabrook, New Hampshire, on Lafayette Road.

Attorney General John Formella told Boston 25 News Ford is facing charges with being a felon in possession of a firearm pursuant to New Hampshire RSA 159:3, for knowingly owning or having in his possession a pistol after having been convicted of a felony.

Investigators have identified all of the involved parties in the shooting and are actively investigating the details of this incident, including the potential claim of self-defense.

Fort is scheduled to be arraigned via a WebEx hearing in Rockingham Superior Court at 1 p.m. Additional evidence is not expected until after the autopsy today.
