HINGHAM, Mass. — A driver died this morning following a single-car crash on Route 3 southbound in Hingham, according to a spokesperson from Mass. State Police.
State troopers, Hingham Fire and Rockland Fire responded to the scene at 7:20 a.m. this morning. The operator was removed from the vehicle before it became engulfed in flames and was transported to South Shore Hospital. However, they were pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The scene was cleared at approximately 9:30 a.m., and the crash remains under investigation.
