HOPKINTON, Mass. — Officials have identified two people who died following a house fire in Hopkinton that also killed a dog early Sunday morning, the district attorney said Wednesday.

Seldon MacNeill, 61, and Judith MacNeill, 68, died after a two-alarm fire at a home on Hayward Street, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan said in a statement.

Several neighbors called 911 just after 1 a.m. Sunday to report the fire at the Hayward Street home.

When firefighters arrived, they went into the burning, single-story home and found a man in the hallway and a woman in a bedroom.

Judith MacNeill was sent to Milford Regional Medical Center and then to a Boston hospital following the fire, and later died.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time but is not considered suspicious, officials said.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
