EVERETT, Mass. — More than 1,300 workers at Encore Boston Harbor say they are preparing to walk off the job after their union contract expired at midnight.
Union members are scheduled to vote today on whether to authorize a strike.
If approved, workers are expected to walk off the job shortly afterward.
The union is seeking raises for both tipped and non-tipped employees.

Encore workers also voted to authorize a strike in 2023, but a deal was reached before a work stoppage took place.
