“Bucky has selflessly served the town of Weston with passion and dedication over the past four decades with the last 13 years spent as the department’s fire prevention officer, a critical role that has helped keep the Weston community safe,” said Lieutenant Dean Munson.
Robertson is a husband and father of two, who is described as a family man both at home and at the firehouse.
“As the most senior member of the department, Bucky has served as a mentor and friend to countless firefighters throughout the years,” Munson said.
Munson said they’re hoping to give Robertson’s family as much support during this difficult fight.
“Any and all donations are greatly appreciated,” Munson said. “Please keep [Robertson] and his family in your thoughts and prayers.”
The union is collecting donations through a GoFundMe page.
