Middleboro Little League Team advances to the World Series in Williamsport

Middleboro, Mass. — For the first time in nearly a decade, a Massachusetts Little League team is representing New England in the Little League World Series.

Middleboro defeated Bangor East, Maine 10-1 on Thursday afternoon to win the Regionals title and advance to the international tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania later this month.

The team beat Concord, New Hampshire 11-0 on Wednesday in order to have advanced to the tournament title game on Thursday.

The community was excited to show support to their Northeast Regional Champions.

“Good luck in the Little League World Series,” Middleborough Police Department said in a Facebook post. “The Town of Middleboro is proud of you! Bring home the title!”
