Man killed after being hit by two cars on Route 93 in Milton

MILTON, Mass. — A man struck by two cars on Route 93 in Milton died from his injuries, police say.

State Police responded to reports of a pedestrian crash at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday on Route 93 northbound in the area of Exit 9.

At the scene, they found the victim, identified as Tat Segundo, 49, of Mattapan, on the road suffering from serious injuries.

He was treated at the scene and transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was declared dead.

Preliminary investigation suggests two cars were involved in the crash. The first car, a 2014 Honda CRV operated by a 25-year-old woman, hit Segundo with the passenger side mirror. Then, a second car, a 2007 Dodge Caliber, operated by a 30-year-old man, hit the victim with the front bumper.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
