CONCORD — A man was struck and killed by a commuter rail train in Concord late Thursday, transit officials said.
MBTA Transit Police said they responded to reports of a person struck at Conant Street Crossing in West Concord around 11:30 p.m. and found a male victim, believed to be about 18-years-old, who was pronounced dead, according to a news release.
Transit police said no foul play is suspected and the man was on the right-of-way when he was hit. The death is being investigated by the Middlesex district attorney’s office, Concord police and transit detectives.
The last two Fitchburg trains from Wachusett were canceled and passengers en-route to North Station were guided to a second train after they were stopped in Concord.
The man’s name has not yet been released.
