BOSTON — Pizza lovers, get ready to sink your teeth into as many pizzas as you’d like.
The Boston Pizza Festival will return to City Hall Plaza this weekend, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
More than 20,000 people are expected to flock to Government Center for live music and entertainment and pizza from more than 30 pizzerias from across New England and Italy. There will be a children’s pizza tossing station and an interactive pizza-making demo with the “Dough Connection.”
And for those of you who are gluten free, don’t fret. Organizers say there will be something for everyone, with vegan and gluten-free options available.
Each pizzeria will be cooking in Marra Forni artisan pizza ovens.
Admission to the festival is free, with pizza tokens available for purchase for $3. Each token is good for one full-size slice of pizza.
Attendees are encouraged to purchase pizza slice tickets before the weekend to avoid waiting in line.
This year, Anheuser-Busch will sponsor the refreshments throughout the weekend, alongside 19 Crimes for the wine.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
