BOSTON — A heat advisory has been issued for parts of New England until Friday evening.
According to the National Weather Service, the heat advisory has been issued for Franklin County, Worcester County, Middlesex County, Essex County, Hampshire County, Hampden County, Norfolk County, Bristol County, Plymouth County, and Providence County.
Heat index values of up to 100 degrees are expected starting at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
Boston 25’s Meteorologist A.J. Mastrangelo, humidity will make it feel even warmer, and while most communities stay dry, an isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorm on Thursday is possible.
Friday and Saturday will be also hot and humid with highs near 90 degrees.
The National Weather Service is advising Mass. residents to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
