IPSWICH, Mass. — As an investigation continues into the death of 65-year-old Michael Brooks, authorities don’t suspect foul play.
This comes after Brooks was found deceased on Tuesday morning, January 21, outside of a vehicle on Caroline Avenue in Ipswich.
According to neighbors in the area, they had reported that Brooks was wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and bare feet. They also said it appeared that he had been there for quite some time and “His face was all beat up, and it looked like his legs were cut up.”
Brooks was transported to Beverly Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators have stated that once an official determination on Brooks’ cause of death is made by the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the investigation will remain open and ongoing.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
