DURHAM, N.H. — Durham Police asked for help from the public as they searched for a University of New Hampshire student who was reported missing over the weekend.
His body was found around 1:20 p.m. Sunday by a New England Search and Rescue K-9 team in a marshy area off of Coe Drive in Durham, police said.
According to police 22-year-old, Vincenzo Lirosi of Whitman, Massachusetts was last seen around 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police said it is believed that Lirosi took a path through a wooded area near Woodman Road, as a shortcut to his residence.
Lirosi was out drinking with friends and did not have a phone or any identification with him, according to the police.
The 22-year-old was described as approximately 5′7″ tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
The cause and manner of Lirosi’s death will be determined after an autopsy is completed.
Lirosi’s family has been notified, police said.
