DRACUT, Mass. — Friday evening, February 7, around 6 P.M. Dracut Fire and Police were dispatched to 189 Merrimack Avenue to reports of a vehicle in the river.
Upon arrival, responders located a Tesla, 60 feet from the shore.
The driver of the vehicle had said that he had exited the car before it accidentally rolled into the river.
The Lowell Dive team was ordered to assist and confirmed that there were no other occupants inside the car.
No injuries were reported and no charges were filed.
An investigation remains ongoing.
