BOSTON — A Boston student was arrested after he attempted to enter Excel High School with a gun allegedly in his possession.
Boston Public Schools told Boston 25 News that at approximately 7:50 a.m. Friday, Excel High School officials were told a firearm was allegedly found in a student’s backpack when he attempted to enter the school during morning bag checks. This prompted the school to enter safe mode, which lasted around 10 minutes.
School administration identified the student before he fled, leaving the building and the bag behind before he drove away. Shortly after, Boston Public Schools safety specialists and Boston Police arrived at the school.
