Boston Police identify man stabbed to death at Dorchester playground

BOSTON — Boston Police have released the identity of a man who was fatally stabbed in a playground in the city on Tuesday.

Authorities say they responded to reports of a person stabbed in the area of 1024 Massachusetts Avenue in Roxbury at around 12:00 a.m.

Officials say Michael A. Dezrick, 48, of Boston, was found suffering from stab wounds at the scene. He was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

Mary Fox, 38, of Boston, was charged in connection to the stabbing.

Fox was arraigned on murder charges and is being held without bail pending her next court appearance on Sept. 1.
