BOSTON — A firefighter who fell through a rear porch while battling a fire in Dorchester on Friday night “is ok” and continued working the scene, according to the Boston Fire Department.

A fire in the basement of a house at 34 Fessenden St. traveled up to the second floor, according to the Boston Fire Department.
The fire went to 2 alarms late Friday evening. All companies were ordered off rear porches while battling the flames when “a member fell thru,” the department tweeted.
