ANDOVER, Mass. — Nearly 10 years to the day after John and Geraldine Magee were found dead in their Andover home, their children have released a statement through local and county officials asking for any information that may help lead to the conclusion of the investigation.
“It’s been almost 10 years since the tragic deaths of Jack and Jeri Magee. Our family has lost 10 years of love, smiles, wisdom, support and happiness with them. For the past decade, we have hoped and prayed for answers and closure to this horrible crime,” the Magee’s children, John Magee and Holly Senykoff, wrote in a statement released by Andover Police and the Essex County DA’s Office.
“We hope that the 10-year commemoration of this terrible event will encourage those who have information on this crime to come forward. The time is now and this injustice should not continue. We support the authorities in their investigation, and hope that they will be able to bring this case to a clear conclusion soon.”
John “Jack” Magee and Geraldine “Jeri” Magee were found shot to death in their home on Orchard Crossing in Andover on the morning of December 14, 2011 by their daughter and granddaughter. It was just shy of their 40th anniversary. The previous evening, December 13, their Lexus SUV was found on fire on Boston’s Prince Street in the North End.

The Magees made their money in land and construction. They developed the neighborhood they lived in and many others like it north of Boston. Homicide investigators have followed leads in four different states and 20 different Massachusetts cities and towns, repeatedly interviewing family, friends and business associates.
Anyone with information on their deaths is asked to contact Mass. State Police at 978-745-8908 or the Andover Police anonymous tip line at 978-623-3560.
“Jack and Jeri will live forever in our hearts and memories. But the people who committed this act are still at large, and they need to be brought to justice,” the family’s statement reads.
“We ask that anyone who has any knowledge of what happened to Jack and Jeri immediately come forward to the Andover Police Department. Please help us solve this crime.”
