NORTH HAMPTON, NH — 1 man is dead and another is seriously injured after a crash in North Hampton, NH.

On May 4 around 9:44 p.m., the North Hampton Police Department responded to a crash on Route 1 near Granite Road.

According to police, a 2007 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Route 1 near Granite Road. when it crossed over the double yellow line, the continuous middle turn lane, and a second double yellow line and struck a 2019 Hyundai Tucson that was traveling northbound.

The driver of the Hyundai Tucson, Alexander Price, 25, of Portsmouth, NH was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died.

The driver of the Honda Civic, Matthew Meisner, 37, of Hampton, NH sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction (C.A.R.) Unit.
