The largest collection of King Tutankhamun's treasures will come to Boston nearly 100 years after they were discovered.
The exhibit, KING TUT: Treasures of the Golden Pharoah, will be in Boston beginning June 13.
Mayor Marty Walsh made the announcement Monday afternoon.
In Boston, we know the value, importance and excitement of history and culture. I am very happy to announce that the King Tut exhibition will be visiting the @CityofBoston from Egypt later this year for the first time since 1963. pic.twitter.com/L1EWByhz1E

The Museum of Science is the official museum partner for the exhibition.
The exhibit contains more than 150 artifacts and “explores the meaning of the items in the royal tomb and the dual storyline of its discovery against all odds."
The galleries will allow you to follow King Tut's journey into "everlasting life."
It will open at The Saunders Castle at Park Plaza located at 130 Columbus Avenue.
The Museum of Science is expecting tickets to sell out and there is a special offer for museum members to receive exclusive access.
