BOSTON — Boston Harbor will see its highest tides of the year Tuesday as the so-called "King tides" roll in.
King tides happen naturally once or twice a year when the sun, moon and Earth align to produce the high tidal ranges. King tides bring in unusually high water levels and can cause local tidal flooding.
The flooding will hit part of the Long Wharf and other coastal areas.
As seen in viewer photos and videos, tides peaked at 12:31 p.m. Monday, the first day of the three-day wonder.

The water levels will peak again Tuesday at 1:21 p.m. and Wednesday at 2:13 p.m.
