SALEM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – There was disturbing testimony Monday in the murder trial of accused teen killer Philip Chism.
The jury was shown surveillance pictures and videos of Chism immediately after the rape and murder of Danvers High School teacher Colleen Ritzer.
FOX25’s Bob Ward has been covering the trial since it began.
The day started with surveillance images of a blood covered Chism in the halls of the school and ended with forensic detail of this incredible violence.
At the time the image a bloody Chism was recorded on school surveillance video, Ritzer's body was already buried behind the school.
Other surveillance images show Chism pulling the recycling bin containing Ritzer's body out of the high school.
In some, Chism's face is covered, in other images, after he returns to the school, it is not.
In some images he was even wearing different clothes, which detectives say caused some confusion.
“It gave the appearance that there may have been more than one person involved,” Danvers Police Detective Sgt. Robert Sullivan said.
Through all of the testimony Chism sat quietly in the courtroom as evidence continued to mount against him.
There was blood on the presumed murder weapon, a box cutter found in Chism's backpack.
There was blood on the clothes he was seen wearing in the surveillance video and on the shirt he was wearing when he was found wandering in Topsfield that night.
The jury also saw new surveillance video of Chism after he left the school. One video showed him walking into an AMC movie theater at the Liberty Tree Mall where a ticket for 'Gravity' was purchased with Ritzer's credit card.
