BOSTON — June 4-5 is free freshwater fishing weekend in Massachusetts.
That means you don't need a license to fish in any public freshwater lake, pond reservoir, river or stream.
That includes two of the state's largest bodies of water, the Quabbin and Wachusett Reservoirs.
The state will hold a free saltwater fishing weekend on June 18-19.
