Is your child's booster seat classified as a ‘best bet'?

BOSTON — Several new children’s booster seats have been certified as “best bets” by the Insurance Institute for highway safety.

Thirteen of 16 seats that were tested received the group’s highest rating.

The IIHS has been testing the seats since 2008 and there are now about 120 top rated seats on the market.

The group said a top-rated seat can cost as little as $40.

They said the best seats provide good lap and shoulder belt fit.
