WAREHAM, Mass. — An injured swan was saved after being found with a fishing hook and line around its neck in Wareham.
Wareham Animal Control got a report about the swan on Sunday morning, and captured and transported the swan to the Cape Wildlife Center for treatment.

The center's crew removed the fishing hook and line from the swan's neck, and treated the swan for feather lice and did a lead test.
The swan was later healthily returned to the pond and released.
